MY STORY
ABOUT ME
An independent and self-motivated designer, stylist, creative director, model and content creator. Well versed in graphic design, brand design, styling and understanding of brand image.
I have loved the world of fashion since the age of seven and always dreamed of designing and directing my very own brand. I have designed and sewn my own clothing throughout my younger years and finally studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC in 2018. From there I moved across the country during a world wide pandemic and decided it's time to make my dreams a reality. I started my own re-work clothing brand, Jrip Like Jay - in the summer of 2020. Sourcing vintage garments and reconstructing them into something new and unique so the clothing could live on in a new way. I ran and directed the brand from sewing, photoshoots, all editing, social media content and packaging. Throughout this process I learned where I feel I am strongest in the fashion world. My ability to create a cohesive, powerful and aligned brand through every aspect rooting back to the brand mission is something I believe I am exceptionally good at. In recent years I have taken on various freelance projects designing for streetwear clothing brands, graphic design work, styling for music videos and tv/commercial and lots of social media content creation. No matter what I do I always find myself somehow within the world of fashion.
My new goals for this year are joining a brand where I can share my extensive knowledge yet also grow with my team. I have also been enjoying my time in front of the camera as well as directing behind it.
